The list was developed by Swedish growth consultant Ahrens and the leading Swedish daily newspaper Svenska Dagbladet. To qualify for the list, companies had to have an average organic revenue growth of at least 25 percent, a minimum of 50 employees and revenues of at least SEK 50 m (approximately EUR 5.5 m USD 5.2 m). The growth list has been published on a yearly basis since 1993.
