Netcom AB awarded umts license in Norway

NETCOM AB AWARDED UMTS LICENSE IN NORWAY New York and Stockholm - November 29, 2000 - NetCom AB ("NetCom", "the Group") (Nasdaq Stock Market: NECS), a leading pan-European telecommunications company, today announced that Tele2 Norway AS has been awarded a license from The Ministry of Transport and Communications Systems)network, offering bandwidths of up to 2 Mbps. Modern Times Group (MTG AB) will work in coperation whit Tele2 Norway AS to develop content for the service. Tele2 Norway AS was one of seven applicants for four Norwegian UMTS licenses in August 2000.
