PacketFront has shipped more than 1 million access ports

PacketFront has shipped more than 1 million access ports worldwide.

PacketFront is proud to announce that our 1 millionth port was sold in August 2011. The calculation was based on access ports – including our Advanced Service Router and MetroStar product lines and we started to count from the beginning of 2002.

The 1 millionth port went to our Norwegian partner NetNordic. The award ceremony took place in Stockholm during the PacketFront Forum 2011.

‘If we look at the distribution of our ports, we can state that we have a footprint – sometimes smaller, sometimes bigger – in many regions worldwide and for example in remote countries like Mexico and Malaysia. However, the majority of ports were shipped to Europe and the Middle East,’ says Johnny Hedlund VP Operations FTTH Solutions.

PacketFront continues to work eagerly on shipping the next million of ports and this will be realized by working in the 2 Business Units – FTTH Solutions and Broadband Management Solutions. The latter focuses on PacketFront’s software solutions also suitable for third party equipment and the former is the traditional portfolio with our hardware products including all access and CPE products.
