PacketFront’s partner Tawasol expands
Tawasol, PacketFront’s Jordanian partner, is expanding in the region and has opened a new subsidiary in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Tawasol has been a PacketFront partner since 2008, and has established a strong competence center for the whole PacketFront portfolio. They have also built an advanced demo center in Amman where customers have the possibility to see the PacketFront solution live. Tawasol’s regional coverage is Middle East and North Africa, which they cover with an extensive partner network. However, local presence is also of importance which was the driver to establish a further subsidiary in the region.
Tawasol established its new branch in Riyadh in May 2011 and currently 5 people are permanently working there. The aim for the Saudi office is to build out their partner network but also in parallel to pursue the direct market approach.

Presently Tawasol is working with the first pilot in the Riyadh area. The project is luxury residential compounds in Riyadh with approximately 850 villas, of which the smallest is 1800 sqm in size. This network encompasses 12,000 voice ports, 3,400 TV STB, and 1800 hot spots. The whole solution is built on PacketFront’s BECS and BBE automation of service provisioning, and Packetfront’s ASR Fiber Switches and DRGs.
The implementation has already started and the first villas are connected. The roll-out is planned to be completed by end of 2012.
