AWARD-WINNING British drama series HEARTBEAT – THE COMPLETE SIXTEENTH SERIES (cert TBC) will be available to own for the first time in a six-disc DVD set from 29 July 2013, RRP £49.99, courtesy of Network Distributing.

Set in rural North Yorkshire during the 1960s, Heartbeat’s combination of crime and medical storylines, charismatic regular characters and wonderfully nostalgic soundtrack made it staple Sunday-night viewing for two decades, with the series’ many prestigious awards including Best Performing Peak-Time Drama and several ITV Programme of the Year awards. This series sees Aidensfield’s police and medical staff dealing with more challenging situations – both professional and personal. PC Rob Walker (Jonathan Kerrigan) is slowly coming to terms with the death of wife Helen while a tentative romance begins to blossom between the young officer and Aidensfield’s new District Nurse, Carol Cassidy. By the series’ end, however, he is facing one of the hardest decisions of his life…
