Former T-VIPS partner in Italy will now offer full suite of Nevion professional media transport solutions

11 June 2013 Media transport pioneer Nevion has appointed Communication Video Engineering (CVE), which previously worked with T-VIPS, as its Italian partner. CVE has offices in both Milan and Rome, and has over 30 years’ experience in the design, implementation and support of advanced technical solutions for leading broadcast and telecommunications organisations. Following the completion of the merger between Nevion and T-VIPS in early 2013, CVE will now provide sales, technical support and maintenance across Nevion’s full suite of professional broadcast and media transport solutions for IP, optical and terrestrial networks – from the camera to the home.

“Our partners play a vital role in helping us prepare our customers for the next generation of media transport,” said Kjetil Bonde, SVP of Sales at Nevion. “CVE has a proven track record via its work with T-VIPS to deliver major projects for Rai Way, Sky Italia and the Mediaset Group and will enable our customers in Italy to take advantage of the convergence in broadcast, IT and telecoms technologies.”

CVE CEO, Luca Catalano said, “We pride ourselves on offering our customers the most advanced solutions in the industry. With Nevion’s heritage of innovation, we can now offer the most cutting edge, easy to deploy and user-friendly media transport solutions, whether our customer are looking to upgrade their legacy infrastructure or build an entirely new digital system.”

Nevion provides signal and transport stream processing, routing and fibre transport systems for broadcast and post production applications. The world’s leading service providers use its managed media transport solutions to deliver professional audio and video over IP networks. Following its merger with T-VIPS, the company now offers digital terrestrial solutions for DVB-T/T2, ATSC and ISDB-T platforms.
