Highlights digital terrestrial television solutions resulting from T-VIPS merger

SINGAPORE—11 June 2013Nevion, a leading provider of next-generation managed media transport solutions, will showcase its latest innovations in managed IP media services and digital terrestrial television (DTT) at BroadcastAsia, booth #5A7-01. Asia’s largest broadcast industry event takes place on June 18-21 at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

Nevion will highlight VideoIPath 3.0, the new version of its end-to-end solution for managed media services. Combining Nevion’s proven transport hardware with state-of-the-art management and control, VideoIPath enables comprehensive transport of uncompressed or compressed media over IP - managed from a single intuitive interface.

The system’s hardware components feature the industry’s widest range of high-quality compression solutions for every bandwidth, including Nevion’s high-quality, low-latency JPEG 2000 codecs, new H.264 solutions for bandwidth-limited environments, and uncompressed SDI over IP. Its innovative management software encompasses service provisioning, connection management, service analytics, network inventory, and fault-, configuration- and performance-management for IP media networks of any size. VideoIPath customers include Media Broadcast in Germany, GigaContent in Denmark, Magyar Telekom in Hungary, Onside in Sweden, and sports and cable networks in the USA, among others.

Nevion will also share its expertise in helping broadcasters throughout the world through successful digital switchovers. Through its merger with T-VIPS, Nevion is now the foremost provider of DVB-T/T2 solutions worldwide. It will showcase a comprehensive suite of smartly-engineered, easy-to-use digital terrestrial television solutions. Indonesia’s Media Nusantara Citra (MNC) recently selected a Nevion DVB-T2 solution for its DTT network. The solution handles local content insertion for five different regions, as well as comprehensive monitoring and switching. Also at booth #5A7-01, Nevion will showcase its complete broadcast infrastructure portfolio, including the new Flashlink live media networking solution, as well as its end-to-end in-service monitoring offering for signal monitoring from the camera to the home.
