new magazine lives up to its name as it reinvents print; one theme, different art forms.
Frida-My Sundqvist, Frida Regeheim and Linnea Mesko are the creators behind “new magazine”. A printed magazine where every issue has a dedicated theme, which is interpreted by creatives within all different kinds of art.
“We lacked a magazine where many artforms get the same amount of attention. Where they can play off each other and create something bigger together, as well as stand independently. Where a sculpture speaks to a poem, a poem paints a picture and a picture forms a piece of furniture. Where the reader can feel how inspiration and creation is tightly intervened. That’s why we created new magazine.”
The first issue includes artists, photographers, writers, journalists and architects who all contribute with work under the theme “shape”. In future issues Frida-My, Frida and Linnea are hoping to go wider and include more art forms and personalities.
“To us no art stands alone. And it shouldn’t be divided.”
new magazine has its release at Riche in Stockholm September 13 and will thereafter be available for purchase online and at selected stores.
