Balance Sheet Communiqué New Wave Group AB (publ) January-December 2002 The result after net financial items increased by 45 percent! · The result after net financial items for the fourth quarter, increased by 89 percent to SEK 86.1 (45.6) million and sales increased by 58 percent to SEK 578.5 (366.6) million. · The result after net financial items increased by 45 percent to SEK 145.1 (100.1) million. · During January-December 2002, New Wave's sales increased by 32 percent to SEK 1,687.3 (1,278.2) million. · Result and sales increased for the 12th year in a row. The average increase for these twelve years is 44 percent and 41.3 percent respectively. · Cash flow was SEK 156.9 million before and SEK 3.3 million after investments. Acquisitions of subsidiaries stand for 111.4 million. · The Corporate Profiling business area's sales increased by 24 percent to SEK 1,044.8 (841.1) million. The result after net financial items increased by 36 percent and amounted to SEK 103.3 (75.8) million. · The Retailing business area's sales increased by 50 percent to SEK 642.5 (428.4) million. The result after net financial items increased by 73 percent and amounted to SEK 41.8 (24.2) million. · New Wave judges that the company has gained market shares in all markets. · For 2003, sales are expected to exceed SEK 2,000 million and the result is expected to improve further. · New Wave increases its growth pace after a very strong ending of 2002 as well as a good beginning of 2003, through establishments in new markets, establishments of new trademarks in current markets as well as acquisitions. · The Board has decided to suggest to the Annual General Meeting that the dividend should increase to SEK 1.75 (1.50) per share, corresponding to SEK 25.4 million.
