Newcross Healthcare Solutions’ Truro branch has recently been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for their Complex Care service. To achieve ‘Good’ from CQC the service is inspected and must provide evidence which is compared using a rating aggregation tool. The CQC summarises that drivers of good quality of care is a person-centred service with line-of-sight from all levels of leadership. The results from the inspection outlined that Newcross is safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.

At Newcross, the continuous delivery of a high quality service is the core of the business which is reflected in this result from the CQC.  CQC is the independent regulator of all health and social care in England who registers, monitors and inspects all health and care services on behalf of the government.

The report found that there were appropriate arrangements in place to keep service users safe and reduce the risk of abuse.  CQC commented that “people we spoke with told us they felt safe using the service and said they trusted the staff who supported them. People commented, ‘good standard of care and good service’ and ‘staff are kind to me.’”
