Acclaimed National Conference Series Aims to Empower Women in Media in Atlanta One-Day Only

Global Media and Journalist resource NewsCertified Exchange will present its groundbreaking conference series Influencing the Headlines: Empowering Women for Global Media in Atlanta on June 10, 2011.  The event continues to connect audiences with top media talents and thought leaders across several industries in an intimate setting one-day only.

Atlanta, Georgia (NEWSWIRE) 23, May, 2011 – NewsCertified Exchange will bring its branded conference event “Influencing the Headlines: Empowering Women for Global Media” to Atlanta, Georgia on June 10, 2011.  Having already met with critical acclaim in Silicon Valley, Chicago, and New York City, the one-day event will present opportunities for attendees to connect with top media personalities and marketing talents in an intimate setting.

Citing reports from The Economist and the Global Media Monitoring Project that say “although women now comprise roughly half of American workers and earn nearly 60% of university degrees, only 24% of the people heard or read about in print, radio, and television news are female,” NewsCertified created Influencing the Headlines to enhance media exposure for women.

A world-class panel will address the topic of Empowering Women for Global Media, while a networking luncheon provides opportunities for attendees to connect with thought leaders from other disciplines.  Featured talents and panelists for include well-known social media personality Heidi Sullivan (Vice President of Media Research, North America for Cision); Daryn Kagan (former CNN anchor and current host of DarynKagan.com); Kelli Arena (award-winning former CNN lead correspondent and Vice President of NewsCertified); Renu Kulkarni (Executive Director of FutureMedia, Georgia Institute of Technology); and Emory Mulling (Radio Personality and Founder of Mulling Corporation).
