Our new product, NEXIMID® MHT-R, creates vital benefits for both composite manufacturers and end users. It allows automation with higher levels of productivity and quality control instead of today’s labour intensive process, which leads to huge savings of time and cost for manufacturers. The end customers will benefit from a higher level of sustainability and lower costs compared to the metal-based applications in use today, due to lower weight and avoiding metal fatigue among other things

This will be Nexam Chemical’s first granted patent in Japan. The market for nylons is relatively large in Japan, which makes us judge this patent as valuable for the company going forward.
It is a break-through to come out on the global market with this type of high-temperature resin. That it is produced in Europe will also provide market advantages. The resin has, in our opinion, the potential to become a standard material suited for large production runs, in areas such as civil aviation and industrial applications. Patent applications relating to the resin has been filed.
We developed the PETA molecule since many of our potential customers requested the type of functionality that the molecule offers. PETA can definitely help our customers develop better and cheaper solutions. We are first in the world with this product and it's exciting to see that the patent application we filed a couple of years back now also has resulted in a patent in USA. This gives Nexam Chemical a 20-year protection against competitors in this market
This is a very important patent for Nexam Chemical as MEPA and other Nexam Chemical products based on MEPA have such a wide range of applications and address the majority of the world's engineering plastics. With patent protection in Europe and the US Nexam Chemical has exclusive rights to two of the most important markets in the world.
The granted patent gives us future protection for Nexam Chemical’s technology and products in this area. We are talking about a market for very high performance plastics with high prices. Nexam Chemical is currently working in projects with several leading producers of these plastics.
The volumes agreed for Armacell to retain its market exclusivity is equivalent to Nexam Chemical sales of about 10 million in 2014, 60 million in 2015 and SEK 120 million in 2016, based on current prices.
