BRUCE BISSET IS ELECTED B&ES PRESIDENT FOR 2013/14

12 July 2013 - Bruce Bisset has been elected president of B&ES – the Building & Engineering Services Association – for 2013/14.

Mr Bisset joined Galloway (Mechanical Services) Ltd, Dundee, in 1975 as a trainee surveyor and gained a Higher National Certificate from Dundee College of Technology.

Moving to the estimating department, he progressed to the position of senior estimator and is now Galloway Group’s business development director for Scotland and for special projects UK-wide.

He has been a member of the Executive Committee of B&ES Scotland for the past nine years, and served as chairman for two years from 2006, becoming a member of Council the following year.  He has also served on the Scottish Contracts Committee since 2006.

Bruce Bisset was elected vice president of the Association in July 2011 and president elect in July 2012.  He succeeded to the presidency of B&ES at its annual general meeting on Thursday 11 July 2013.

At the same meeting, Andy Sneyd of Crown House Technologies became president elect and Jim Marner of Shepherd Engineering Services was elected vice president.  Sue Sharp of Overclean will serve during 2013/14 as immediate past president.
