Castle Marinas' Mike Shipman promoted to Regional Operations Manager

1 February 2011 – Castle Marinas Ltd announces the promotion of Mike Shipman to the newly created role of Regional Operations Manager, reporting to Operations Director, Sam Bourne. Mike will continue in his current role of Marina Manager for Nottingham Castle Marina but his new position includes an expanded brief with additional key responsibilities for marketing assistance and other support to the four other inland marina managers in the Group, including exhibiting at inland boat shows. The newly created position will strengthen the management team of this ambitious and fast expanding group of eight marinas. Mike had a successful career in the motor trade prior to joining Nottingham Castle Marina. An experienced inland boater, he has lived and worked at the marina for twelve years, managing the site since it was purchased by Castle Marinas Ltd in April 2006. Castle has five inland locations at Kings Bromley in Staffordshire, Ventnor Farm and Wigrams Turn in Warwickshire, Buckden in Cambridgeshire and Nottingham Castle marina. Its three coastal marinas are located at Birdham Pool in Chichester Harbour, Royal Clarence marina at Gosport in Portsmouth Harbour and Port Dinorwic in north Wales.
