Castle Marinas withdrawing from North Wales marina

11 July 2011Castle Marinas acquired Dinorwic marina at Y Felinheli, Gwynedd in North Wales in July 2010 under a ‘Management Agreement’ with an option to purchase the Freehold interest. Having reviewed their involvement over the first twelve months, Castle Marinas have decided to withdraw and concentrate on larger acquisitions elsewhere in the UK.

Sam Bourne, Operations Director of Castle Marinas Ltd, said, “Although we operate seven marinas, our head office team is relatively small. To make best use of our human resources, we have therefore decided it is better to concentrate on more substantial acquisitions; larger marinas being more in line with our corporate strategy.”

Castle Marinas own five inland and two coastal marinas which include Birdham Pool in Chichester Harbour and Royal Clarence at Gosport in Portsmouth Harbour.
