HARD WORK REWARDED FOR YOUNG APPRENTICES

Recognition for hardworking young apprentices at the recent London and South East BEST (Building Engineering Services Training) Training Awards

29 January 2010 - The annual London and South East BEST (Building Engineering Services Training) Training Awards were recently held at the prestigious RAC Club to honour apprentices in the building engineering services sector - part of the building and construction industry. Awards included Junior Apprentice of the Year, Intermediate Junior Apprentice, Advanced Junior Apprentice of the Year and Adult Existing Worker of the Year. HVCA members MITIE Engineering Maintenance Ltd, Smith & Byford, EMCOR Facilities Services Ltd, and Kylemore Services Ltd were commended by HVCA President Graham Manly for continuing to invest in the training of apprentices whilst in a recession. Graham also paid tribute to the commitment and dedication of the winners who were supported at the awards by their families and representatives from their colleges. The winners will go on to represent the region in the National Training Awards to be held on 17 March 2010.
