Leading provider of domiciliary care services in the North West turns to Panztel for a ‘local solution’

Major provider of homecare services to local authorities in the North West turned to Panztel to help them manage a 750 strong team delivering over 20,000 hours of homecare per week.

7 October 2011 – Local Solutions, a leading provider of homecare services to several local authorities in the Merseyside and Greater Manchester region, employing over 750 staff, has established a strong reputation for improving the quality of life for vulnerable and excluded people in the region. But Local Solutions faced the principal problem common to most providers of homecare services: how to manage a large team of care staff who predominately work alone, out in the community, with minimal supervision. As Local Solutions grew so too did their management challenges, not least of which being the sheer complexity of delivering nearly 25,000 hours of commissioned homecare per week. Following a competitive tender procedure, Local Solutions appointed Panztel with their eziTracker service to improve service delivery, increase efficiency and safeguard the organisation’s lone working community care workers.

EziTracker uses the telephone network and data capture technology to provide real time information on the whereabouts of social care workers, enabling management to fully and effectively monitor remote staff. It will also   alert management to any service breakdown, whilst safeguarding care workers.
