Promotion and award for two of Castle Marinas’ senior managers

16 July 2010 – Castle Marinas Ltd, owners of five inland and two coastal marinas, are pleased to announce the promotion of Gary Carruthers ACA to the newly created position of Group Finance Director. Gary was previously Financial Manager at this rapidly expanding marina group. Gary’s more senior role follows the restructuring of senior personnel responsibilities which will better support the group’s ambitious plans to grow through acquisition. Commenting on his promotion, Gary said, “I am delighted to accept the invitation to join Castle Marinas’ board of directors and I look forward to making an important contribution to the further development and success of the group”. Tony Dye, Group Operations Manager, has also recently become a Certified Marina Manager – the first in Castle Marinas’ history. The prestigious award was recently presented at the British Marine Federation (BMF) annual marina conference. Castle’s five inland marinas are Kings Bromley in Staffordshire, Ventnor Farm and Wigrams Turn in Warwickshire, Buckden in Cambridgeshire and Nottingham Castle Marina.
