10 August 2012 – With a succession of major business wins, Panztel, the international group with a large UK based operation in Cwmbran, continue to defy the recession; with more and more organisations contracting out work once undertaken in-house, there has been a rapidly rising demand for effective systems to monitor remote workers and Panztel lead the market with their eziTracker service.

Just in the last 12 months Panztel have secured seven figure contracts with MITIE and Servest Group, two of the UK’s best-known facility management companies, and six figure contracts with Hampshire County Council, Cumbria County Council, Surrey County Council and Angus Council.

Commenting on these business wins Panztel’s Managing Director, Jonathan Hudson, said, “The higher profile facility management companies are large employers of cleaners, security and maintenance staff and they need a simple and cost-effective method of keeping track of their remote workforce as missed or late visits can jeopardise client relationships. Understandably, given the prevailing difficult trading climate, clients are insisting on independent verification of visits and that’s why two of the UK’s largest FMs have adopted eziTracker as it provides management with full control of remote workers, enabling supervisors to ascertain the real time whereabouts of their staff and confirm that site visits and work shifts have been completed as scheduled”.

Local authorities currently make up the biggest sector of registered users of Panztel services. Most of the demand comes from adult social services departments where Panztel provide an invaluable service in the monitoring and safeguarding of domiciliary care staff.

Hudson continues, “Our succession of new business wins with local authorities over the last year consolidates our market leading position in this sector. Since May 2010 and the cut-backs that followed, local authorities have placed greater emphasis on electronic proof for the provision of domiciliary care that is now contracted out to independent home care providers, and that is the primary benefit of our eziTracker service.

“The onset of the recession in the past few years has simply accelerated the trend towards contracting out services for organisations in both the private and public sector fuelled by an ever-rising need to reduce overheads and strive for greater efficiency. In this respect we have actually benefited from the economic downturn with a massive rise in the demand for our eziTracker remote workforce monitoring service.”

Panztel recently passed the 1100 mark for the number of UK organisations now using its services.
