22 July 2015 – Peter Rimmer, head of employment affairs and skills with the Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES), has completed 25 years’ service.

In marking this important milestone, president Jim Marner thanked Mr Rimmer for the valuable contribution he had made, and continued to make – “in his unassuming, yet always thorough manner” – to the work of B&ES, both as a trade association and as an employers’ organisation.

A graduate of St Catherine’s College, Oxford, Mr Rimmer joined the staff of what was then the Heating and Ventilating Contractors’ Association on 1 June 1990, following employment in the nuclear industry.

Commenting on his quarter-century in building engineering services, Mr Rimmer said, ”It has been a privilege to serve the Association's members, both collectively and individually, through the work I have led in connection with developing our National Agreement with Unite the union, and I look forward to continuing to engage with the increasingly important skills agenda over the coming years.”
