Report this content

20 August 2015 – SeaSafe have further extended its unique, patented I-Zip lifejacket range – the only lifejacket with a changeable cover – with the addition of specialist lifejackets specifically designed for demanding, hazardous environments.  A standard option for the changeable covers is a new range of anti-static and fire retardant covers, and there is also a new Welders Panotex lifejacket made from a fire-proof fabric and thread with an aluminised finish.  Designed for professional welders, this comes with a harness, stainless steel buckle and D-Ring, and as with all I-Zip lifejackets it is certified to 150N or 275N for the ISO 12402 Standard.  Pre-use checks are also simplified by the front cover zip allowing easy access to the firing mechanism and gas bottle.

Other features of these specialist lifejackets include oral back-up inflation, a concealed pea-less whistle, a padded, soft and comfortable collar and optional SOLAS approved light.  They can also be embroidered with a person’s name, company logo, boat name or number – a proven way to help deter theft.  As with all SeaSafe’s lifejackets they are made in Britain at the company’s own Cowes based factory.

The new Welders lifejacket will also neatly complement SeaSafe's ORKA Welder Coverall technical workwear range; a popular choice for professional welders, these overalls are made from comfortable but highly durable fabrics and give peace of mind from knowing they provide the best possible protection from welding related hazards.

The specialist lifejackets are featured in SeaSafe’s new all-products brochure, for a copy call +44(0)1983 282388 or visit: www.seasafe.co.uk.
