STEVEN SMITH JOINS B&ES REGIONAL MANAGEMENT TEAM
14 April 2015 - The Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES) has further strengthened its regional management team with the appointment of Steven Smith to the post of regional manager for the West and South West of England.
Mr Smith comes to the role following six years as a training adviser with B&ES subsidiary Building Engineering Services Training (BEST), during which time he gained a thorough knowledge of the sector and the needs and priorities of employers – many of them Association members.
Originally qualifying as an electrician with national contractor Balfour Kilpatrick, Mr Smith went on to serve seven years with electrical training provider JTL, and has considerable experience in facilities management and controls and hospital engineering.
“Steven’s in-depth understanding of building engineering services, and his ongoing involvement with B&ES members, makes him an ideal addition to the Association’s team, and I look forward to working with him in developing our effectiveness across his region,” said head of regional management Tim Acland.
Steven Smith commented, “I am delighted to join the B&ES staff, and to have the opportunity to apply the knowledge I have gained throughout my career to enhancing the Association’s member services throughout the West and South West of England.”
