TAKE ADVANTAGE OF SEASAFE’S WINTER LIFEJACKET SERVICE AND STORAGE OFFER

29 September 2015 – If you are laying up your boat for winter, or otherwise not planning any winter sailing, SeaSafe have an attractive offer for you.  Rather than leave your lifejackets on board to get damp and attract mildew why not let them service and then store your lifejackets in the dry of their factory for you until they are needed again, perhaps next spring?  It couldn’t be simpler to take up this offer as SeaSafe now have over 50 lifejacket servicing centres around the UK, and many of these 'Service Points' are conveniently located at marinas.

All you need to do is drop your lifejackets into one of the Service Points and SeaSafe arrange collection (using DHL).  There are no delivery charges unless they are returned to a non Service Point address such as your home.  Once received and inspected SeaSafe contact the lifejacket owner to explain what work needs doing and the cost, with servicing starting at just £9.95.  Once serviced SeaSafe will store them for you until needed again whenever that is, such as the new boating season in 2016.  And if you unexpectedly need them ahead of the planned return date just contact SeaSafe and they’ll get them back to you.

Jeremy Dale, managing director of SeaSafe, comments, “So many boat owners leave their lifejackets on board during the winter months where they are left unused for weeks if not months typically at the bottom of a locker – this is when they get damp and damp can cause the CO2 gas bottle to corrode which in turn makes it prone to failure.

“It’s vital to remember that a lifejacket is only that if it works so why take a chance?  Be safe and not sorry; let us service your lifejackets and then store them for you in dry controlled conditions until you next need them.  And if you don’t have a Service Point near you we can deal direct, arranging collection and return for the location of the customer’s choice, even their home.”
