The Building & Engineering Services Association has appointed Tim Acland to the new post of head of regional management, as part of its commitment to improve and enhance its service to B&ES members.

Mr Acland joined the staff of the Association in 2002 as regional manager for London and the South East and will continue in this position, in addition to his national responsibilities.

Commenting on the appointment, Ray Barraclough, the Association’s finance, membership and administration director, said, “Tim has been a valuable member of our management team for well over a decade, and brings a thorough knowledge of the industry, and of the B&ES member offering, to his augmented role.”

Mr Acland added, “I am delighted to have this opportunity to work with my colleagues across the Association’s regional network in delivering existing services and in developing new services for all B&ES members.”

Tim Acland has been employed in the building engineering services sector for some 40 years, having previously worked for, among other organisations, Alpha Boilers, United House and Harp Heating.

The Association is also in the process of recruiting two new regional managers to cover South West London and Wessex, and the West and South West of England.
