TOP TRAINEES HONOURED IN LONDON AND SOUTH EAST

4 Februrary 2014 - The hard work and commitment of eight apprentices and trainees employed by regionally based members of B&ES (the Building & Engineering Services Association – formerly HVCA) has been recognised as they walked away with the top honours at the recent presentation of the London and South East Regional Training Awards.  Taking place at the Dickens Inn in historic St Katharine Docks, the awards were organised by B&ES training subsidiary BEST.

The award winners were:

  • Level 2 Plumbing Award presented to Nicholas Payne who lives in Rainham, Essex and is employed by J S Wright & Co based in London WC2
  • Level 3 Plumbing Award presented to Tom Brinkman who lives in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex and is employed by Norman Gutteridge Ltd based in Stanford-le-Hope
  • Level 2 Service and Maintenance Award presented to Kyle Holloway who lives in Harlow, Essex and is employed by Johnson Controls based in Ware, Hertfordshire
  • Level 2 Service and Maintenance Outstanding Achievement Award presented to James May who lives in Sidcup, Kent and is employed by the Bank of England based in London EC2
  • Level 3 Service and Maintenance Award presented to Jay Morrish who lives in Bexley, Kent and is employed by the Canary Wharf Group PLC based in London E14
  • Level 3 Service and Maintenance Outstanding Achievement Award presented to Jack Seakins who lives in Erith, Kent and is employed by MITIE Engineering Services based in London SE1
  • Building Services Engineering Project Manager Award presented to William Buck who lives in Cambridge and is employed by Munro Building Services Ltd based in Cambridge
  • The Ambassador for 2013 Award presented to Tadeusz Woznicki who lives in Loughton, Essex and is employed by SPIE Matthew Hall Ltd based in London EC2

The awards are supported by national sponsor Pegler Yorkshire and regional sponsors MITIE, SPIE Matthew Hall, Barking and Dagenham College, Alpha Building Services Engineering Training and Unite the Union.

Bruce Bisset, president of B&ES, congratulated all the winners for their “hard work, commitment and determination to progress in their chosen career”.

“Make no mistake – they represent the future, not only of our sector but of the construction industry and the nation as a whole,” he insisted.
