UK CLEANING AND FM COMPANIES MAY BE WASTING MILLIONS ON OVERPAYMENTS

25 November 2014 – 15 of the UK’s largest cleaning and FM companies have now adopted Ezitracker, the well-known electronic monitoring service for remote workers.  And based on verified attendance reports Ezitracker have sufficient robust data to indicate that an average of 15% of contracted labour is not actually delivered.  Ezitracker estimate that if extrapolated for all employers of large numbers of cleaning and other remote workers it may mean they are wasting millions of pounds on overpayments for contracted FM services.

John Moore, Managing Director of Ezitracker, comments, “Ezitracker provides a real-time verified report on the actual hours worked and its payroll integration feature allows this information to be seamlessly integrated into leading payroll systems, so that actual hours worked can be matched against contracted hours.  This results in a massive reduction in the administrative burden of paper timesheets, resulting in substantial savings in payroll processing.  And more importantly, as our research now shows, by providing a precise third party record of actual hours worked on site by remote staff Ezitracker eliminates fraud, reduces payroll overpayments, discrepancies, arbitration disputes and time spent on supervision.

We have clients in the Cleaning and FM sector employing hundreds and even thousands of cleaning staff, and by using Ezitracker they are now seeing substantial reductions in operating costs; in some cases six figure annual savings.”

Verified time and attendance is established by remote working staff dialling into Ezitracker’s freephone number using a fixed line phone, and when they key in their unique PIN the system automatically captures the employee’s ID, site ID and attendance time.  Data can be accessed online by authorised managers in real-time, at any hour, every day of the year.  On leaving the site staff log out by a similar process.  In addition to landlines, Ezitracker can be set to work with smartphones in conjunction with a mobile app that scans a unique coded site tag to verify location, wall mounted biometric terminals and fixed wireless telephones.
