Winner Takes Home $25,000 Cash Prize

Fantasy Football Evolution (FFE) is a unique and innovative fantasy football competition that challenges players’ skills and strategies with a fair and open competition to determine the best fantasy football player in the nation.

August 9, 2012 (Los Angeles, CA) -

NextGen’s patented flagship product, Fantasy Football Evolution has an intuitive and user-friendly format that targets both expert and new fantasy football players. For example, its auto-draft and auto-line up functionality assists players in drafting their teams and setting their weekly line ups and helps make managing multiple teams simple.

Players can purchase a team for $15 for seventeen (17) weeks of competitive play, with discounts for multiple team purchases. The winner of Fantasy Football Evolution will take home a $25,000 prize, along with indisputable bragging rights and well-deserved fantasy glory, for becoming the first ever Fantasy Football Evolution Champion.

NextGen designed FFE for fantasy players seeking to test their fantasy prowess against a much larger competition pool than typical league formats generally allow for.

FFE seeks to identify best fantasy football player in the nation through its uniquely challenging three (3) stage format. After drafting their teams, players enter Stage 1 of the competition.

  • Stage 1 consists of ten weeks of league play in which each player manages a team against 11 other computer teams, guaranteeing a standard level of competition for each player. The top 25% of players move forward into Stage 2.
  • Stage 2 is a one-week elimination phase from which the top 64 highest scoring teams advance to the finals.
  • Stage 3 is 64-team “March Madness” style tournament of head-to-head matchups, in which the winner of each matchup advances. After six weeks, the last player standing will be crowned Fantasy Football Evolution Champion and receives the $25,000 cash prize.

One of the most evolutionary components of the competition is that a player can join as an individual or with friends; they do not need to recruit a dozen people to form a traditional fantasy football league.

FFE features a Consolation Competition for all players who do not progress to the final 16 teams, with prizes ranging from $50 - $1,000. FFE also features a Referral Competition that awards free teams and cash prizes to FFE players who refer people to FFE. “We’re really trying to grow the competition, and we really want to incentivize people to get others involved,” comments Stan Russo, Co-Founder and VP of Product Development.

Fantasy Football Evolution will be showcasing at the Fantasy Football Fest in Atlantic City on August 18-19th. Fantasy Football Fest is the first consumer show for fantasy football enthusiasts. The show will feature live drafts, celebrity autograph signings, and various contests. Hall of Famers, such as Joe Montana, current NFL players, including Michael Vick and LeSean McCoy, and expert analysts, such as Matthew Berry, will all be in attendance.

Fantasy Football Evolution is featured on ESPN radio on the Kick-Ass Fantasy Football Show, where Co-Founder Stan Russo discusses the premise behind Fantasy Football Evolution with the show hosts. He will be a reoccurring guest on the show.

“At Fantasy Football Evolution, we have figured out a way to take the traditional fantasy football model and extend it to the rest of the country, and even the world. Our unique format allows people to figure out who’s really the best at fantasy football. We have revolutionized fantasy football,” explains Russo.

NextGen, the parent company of Fantasy Football Evolution (FFE), seeks to enhance and advance fantasy sports by offering innovative, entertaining and competitive fantasy products. With their initial flagship product, FFE, they believe they have set a new standard for fantasy football competition. NextGen will continue to push the limits of fantasy football with FFE in the years to come to ensure it remains innovative, entertaining, and most of all, competitive.
