- Revenue increase and increase of 9 % in operating profit in 4th quarter

Telio continues to deliver strong results, thereby confirming their position as a leading European provider of access independent broadband telephone services. Telio increased its customer base by 2,566 net new customers in the fourth quarter. Revenues in the fourth quarter ended at NOK 100.4 million with an operating profit of NOK 22.3 million.

We are satisfied with the customer intake and the financial performance in the fourth quarter, as well as for 2010. We have continued to deliver very strong results for the last 15 quarters. Despite establishment costs from the operation in Switzerland during 2010, we are delivering the best fourth quarter ever. Adjusted for the operation in Switzerland, the operating profit is improved by NOK 11 million compared to 2009, says Eirik Lunde, CEO of Telio Holding ASA.

Launch of Teliophone

A major event in the quarter was the launch of Teliophone in the beginning of November. Teliophone is an app for iPhone enabling unrestricted, high quality video and voice calling from iPhone. Teliophone features unique connection of user friendly provisioning and high quality, standards based mobile videophone. Through WLAN or 3G, with Teliophone it is possible to call any other number on the traditional fixed and mobile network as well as to other video and HD enabled terminals in Telio's network (and soon in other networks). Teliophone is available through Apple's (Norwegian) App store for Telio's existing subscribers (both residential and SMB). At the end of November, Telio also launched Teliophone bundled with iPad.

Continued growth in international markets

Telio continues to grow in the markets outside Norway. Especially, the Dutch operation has achieved a strong growth and the customer base increased by 93% compared to Q4 2009 and Telio now has a customer base of 42,000 subscribers.

The company launched its services to the Swiss market in January 2010 and full operation and first phase distribution were established during the first quarter. At the end of 2010, the company had 3,941 customers in Switzerland.
