Technology Nexus AB (publ) acquires French IT-Security company and strengthens its position in the French market. Nexus today signed a Letter of Intention concerning the acquisition of the French IT Security company 2B + D SARL. The acquired company was established in 1990 and works with Secure Solutions, based on PKI and other products. The company is also RSA's leading partner in the French market. Among the company's clients are found a number of banks, insurance companies, the public sector and the manufacturing industry. The company currently has seven employees, is located in Paris, France, estimates revenue for 2001 to total approximately FRF 15 million, and shows continued good profitability. The company will be integrated into Nexus' existing organisation, operations, and premises. "This acquisition should be seen as strengthening Nexus' position in the French market, where we are already established with clients such as Renault, Peugeot, and a number of banks, and so on", says Mikael Jacobsson, CEO for Technology Nexus AB and Manager of Business Area International. Nexus is paying FRF 3,1 million, 50% through a directed new share issue and 50% in cash, and the acquisition is expected to contribute positively to Nexus' result as early as Q3. Since the company is relatively well consolidated, only a marginal goodwill effect will arise as of the acquisition.
