Technology Nexus AB (publ), as a subcontractor to Swedish Post, Posten, is responsible for the supply of the security solution for the Swedish National Tax Board's service for the submission of tax returns via the Internet. The Swedish National Tax Board, RSV, has entered into an agreement with the Swedish Post, Posten, for the purchase of certificate services and software for the electronic signature of company tax returns. Technology Nexus AB (publ), referred to below as Nexus, has for a long time been cooperating with Posten in the area of security solutions and is responsible, in its capacity as a sub-contractor, for the supply of a technical solution to enable companies, with the help of soft certificates, to submit their monthly tax return via the Internet. The technical solution from Nexus is based on security products from SmartTrust and covers development, product delivery, integration, implementation and support. The project is the first of its kind, and the underlying idea is for those filing tax returns to identify themselves with the help of soft certificates and for the declarations to be signed with electronic signatures. Trials will start in early March and will continue initially for a period of six months. The aim of the electronic declaration is to make tax processing more flexible for both companies and the tax authorities. - "The project leads the way with one of the most interesting security solutions in Sweden today," says Mats Enquist, Vice President of Nexus. "Initially this project will include 10-15.000 companies. More than 450 000 companies in total are required submit tax returns." This supply contract is based on the framework agreement between Posten and the Swedish Agency for Public Management (Statskontoret), under which the certificate services and the software will be supplied in line with the demand for the new service among companies. - "We regard this as a first step in a long series of services, under which public authorities and administrations will be able to offer secure solutions and rational, economic processing of various types of information," says Evald Persson, Safety Expert at Posten, in a note to the agreement.
