Technology Nexus AB (publ) strengthens its position in Mälardalen through the acquisition of MiraTek AB. Technology Nexus AB (publ), referred to below as Nexus, and the owners of MiraTek AB, referred to below as MiraTek, have entered into a contract agreeing that Nexus will take over all shares in MiraTek. MiraTek was founded in Västerås in 1989 and currently employs 8 staff, plus a number of contracted consultants. The forecast turnover for the whole of 2000 is approx. SEK 12 million and profit is estimated at SEK 2 million. MiraTek is a specialist consultancy company, focusing on the development of secure solutions for both hardware and software. MiraTek operates in the following four fields: - Communications - Digital electronics - Real-time systems/Embedded systems - Testing and integration. The acquisition is being regarded as being in force from 1 September 2000 and is being financed through a directed new share issue to MiraTek's shareholders which forms part of the terms granted by Nexus' Board at the shareholders' meeting. The acquisition is expected to have a positive effect on Nexus' profits as early as this year. This will help Nexus develop its position further in the expansive area around Mälardalen.
