Nilsson Energy gets a new CEO
Roger Göthberg is the new CEO of Nilsson Energy from November 2023. At the turn of the year, the majority owner Qarlbo Energy acquired the remaining shares from the three founders and thus becomes the sole owner.
Roger Göthberg has a solid market and leadership experience from companies undergoing transformation, including MAN Energy Solutions AB and Skangas (now Gasum). He will primarily focus on continuing to strengthen the company's position as an innovator and a center of competence in hydrogen solutions and strive to deliver value-creating products and services in accordance with customers' expectations and needs.
In 2021, Qarlbo Energy became the majority owner of the company and from January 1, 2024, they will take over full ownership of Nilsson Energy. Together with sister company Hydri, Nilsson Energy forms the basis of the platform Qarlbo Energy wants to develop in the environmental sector. By having Qarlbo Energy become the sole owner, the financial and industrial conditions to grow Nilsson Energy's business are secured.
Nilsson Energy will continue to work focused on further developing knowledge and solutions in the hydrogen area as well as developing and deepening relationships with customers and partners.
With the new ownership structure in place, the company's founding trio choose to end their assignments for Nilsson Energy.

Nilsson Energy was founded in 2017 by Pontus Lundgren, Martina Wettin and Hans-Olof Nilsson. The company and the three founders quickly became important advocates and pioneers in the development of decentralized hydrogen solutions in the transition to fossil-free energy solutions.
Nilsson Energy is a subsidiary of Qarlbo Energy, a Swedish investment company jointly owned by the Conni Jonsson family Qarlbo AB and the Wallenbergstiftelsernas FAM AB.
