Bukowski enhance their offerings with Nixu ChargeGate Bukowski, the Finnish auction house rich in tradition, dealing in art and furniture, are launching the sales of individual catalogue information on paintings, art objects, furniture and carpets in their home pages. Nixu ChargeGate, the Internet content use charging system developed by Nixu Ltd. enables the billing of the individual data from the customer who need not buy the whole catalogue. Managing Director of Bukowski, Mr. Paul Hörhammer believes there is a need for this new kind of charging system: "Our Internet pages have over 10 000 visitors per week. With the help of the latest technology, we can offer them as relevant information as possible." Until now, it has been possible to buy the latest catalogue of Bukowski at the Internet pages of the auction house, paying it traditionally with a credit card or by bank transfer. With Nixu ChargeGate, Bukowski is extending their offerings, enabling the buying of data on one individual art object in the catalogue. The single item of information is charged from the user's prepaid account. Nixu ChargeGate enables the customers to watch their use of the service and choose the way of payment the most economical for them. Paul Hörhammer is convinced that Nixu ChargeGate is boosting the service level of Bukowski: "The new charging models provide for the provision of relevant and up-to-date information through our Internet pages. Our customers have the benefit of both better service and more useful information", says Mr. Hörhammer. Nixu CEO Mr. Tapio Sulkava welcomes the cooperation with Bukowski. "The Internet content business is often seen as 'new things for new companies' only. Bukowski is a splendid example of the possibilities for traditional business in the Internet. Their basic operations have over the years produced a vast amount of information, which has value as an archive. We are proud that such a distinguished house has chosen us as their partner to bring new sources of revenue to their business", says Mr. Sulkava.
