Meer stevigheid voor SUV-rijders: Nokian Tyres maakt meer gebruik van de Aramid Sidewall-technologie
Nokian Tyres, de meest noordelijke bandenfabrikant ter wereld, gaat meer gebruikmaken van zijn Nokian Aramid Sidewall-technologie voor SUV-banden, die ontwikkeld zijn voor uitdagende en wisselende winterse rijomstandigheden.
Bijna alle premiumbanden die vanaf begin 2016 geproduceerd worden door de pionier van het winterse rijden, zijn voorzien van de unieke Aramid Sidewall-technologie van Nokian, om zo nog meer veiligheid en stevigheid te bieden. De nieuwe technologie zal ook gebruikt worden in banden die al op de markt zijn.
De aramidevezels die Nokian Tyres gebruikt in de zijwand van de banden, geven stijfheid aan de zijwand en versterken deze, om nog beter bestand te zijn tegen schade en sneden die gemakkelijk tot een lekke band zouden kunnen leiden. Deze sterke aramidevezels zijn ook zeer effectief gebleken in de luchtvaart- en wapenindustrie.
