IFS continues its focus towards the offshore industry and is pleased to announce today that Rosenberg Verft has decided to expand its use of IFS Applications with a NORSOK multidiscipline engineering register. The solution is part of IFS offer to EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation) contractors. It combines Engineering and ERP in one modern web based suite and will be used by Rosenberg and its subcontractors.

The benefits of having one engineering register are obvious when it comes to finding actual project status across disciplines or see change impacts from one discipline to another. Having a strong purchase system will give Rosenberg the opportunity to sort and group purchase items across the entire project to improve prices, cash flow and delivery terms. Combined with IFS solutions for project management, financials, document management and support for fabrication, installation and commissioning, it will give Rosenberg a new modern IT platform for better value chain control, visibility, and data exchange. ─We are pleased to be able to expand our IT platform based on IFS to also cover engineering work, says Bjørn Thomas Bache, Vice President Engineering & Procurement. IFS has several references that are using parts of the concept today, and with their industry knowledge they have motivated IFS to expand the offer to fully support EPCI contractors. IFS believe that the industry needs stronger support for collaboration between engineering, purchasing project management and fabrication in a modern web based technology. ─ This recent additional selection of IFS Engineering at Rosenberg reinforces IFS position as a strategic IT supplier to Rosenberg and demonstrates the possibilities in IFS business application for EPCI contractors in the offshore industry, commented Glenn Arnesen, CEO, IFS Norway AS.
