Oslo, 27. juni 2012: Twin Ring Motegi-banen i Japan er en ny bane fra virkeligheten som nå er gjengitt i detalj til Gran Turismo®5. Motegis to baner er tilgjengelige i fire ulike varianter i den populære kjøresimulatoren til PlayStation®3 og kan kjøpes og lastes ned fra PlayStation®Store. Den nye Scion FR-S '12-bilen er også lagt til i GT5™ og kan lastes ned uten ekstra kostnad.

Twin Ring Motegi-banen har både en oval og en veibane. Den 2,4 km lange ovalen brukes stort sett til amerikansk motorsport, mens den 4,8 km lange veibanen brukes til løp som Super GT og Formula Nippon. Denne pakken har ikke bare disse to banene, den har også West Course og East Course som består av henholdsvis den første og den andre halvdelen av veibanen, så du kan øve deg på de ulike konfigurasjonene.

Motegi East-banen ble nylig brukt i avslutningen av GT Academy 2012-kvalifiseringen. Over en million mennesker over hele verden lastet ned GT Academy-demoen, og spillere fra deltakerlandene i GT Academy 2012 konkurrerte om en plass i neste runde av den innovative konkurransen som arrangeres i samarbeid med Nissan og gjør vinneren til en ekte, lisensiert racerbilfører.

Scion FR-S '12-nedlastingen gir deg en kompakt FR-sportsbil (motoren foran med bakhjulsdrift) fra Scion i Gran Turismo 5. En horisontal dobbeltstempelmotor på 2 liter gir meget lavt tyngdepunkt og en ideell vektfordeling, som igjen gir ren og skjær kjøreglede. Bilen er "broren" til Toyota 86 som selges i Japan, og drivverket gjør den perfekt til å lære sportskjøreteknikker.
