Trolltech - Skype choses Qtopia for WIFI phones

Oslo, Norway - March 20, 2007 - Trolltech announced today that Skype, the global internet communications company, has chosen Trolltech`s Qtopia as the preferred platform for connecting the Skype user interface to the operating system in Skype certified WiFi handsets and a variety of other devices.

The two companies today signed a frame agreement, which will enable third-party device-manufacturers to buy pre-integrated software stacks for use on Skype devices. Revenues will be based on a fee per device model paid by the device manufacturer.
