New Boards of Directors for Nobel Media AB and Nobelmuseet AB

Today the Nobel Foundation Rights Association has approved a decision to appoint new members to the Boards of Directors of its wholly owned subsidiaries Nobel Media AB and Nobelmuseet AB at their respective annual general meetings. The Boards are thereby strengthened with know-how in these companies’ respective fields of activity.

“The people who have been recruited have solid expertise in various forms of media production, research and museum activities. We are convinced that the new Board members will contribute fresh perspectives and approaches to the respective activities of the two companies,” says Marcus Storch, Chairman of the Nobel Foundation Rights Association.

The following members have been elected to the Board of Nobelmuseet AB:
Jim Bennett, Professor and Director, Museum of the History of Science, Oxford University
Peje Emilsson, Chairman, Kreab Gavin Anderson
Barbro Osher, Honorary Consul General of Sweden in San Francisco
Nina Wormbs, Associate Professor, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH)
Per Molander, Director General, Swedish Social Insurance Inspectorate (incumbent Board member)

The following members have been elected to the Board of Nobel Media AB:
Patrik Hadenius, editor in chief and publisher, Forskning & Framsteg
Ove Joanson, CEO, Media Conglomerate
Lisa Lindström, CEO, Doberman
Marie Nilsson, CEO, Mediavision
Eva Swartz Grimaldi, CEO, Natur & Kultur (incumbent Board member)

Lars Heikensten, Executive Director of the Nobel Foundation, has been elected Chairman of both Boards. Barbro Jonsson, Head of Administration at the Nobel Foundation, has been elected as a deputy member of both Boards. The Boards will be complemented by representation from the Nobel Prize-awarding institutions.

The Nobel Foundation Rights Association was established in 1999. Its purpose is to engage in informational, museum, research, development, media and related work within the Nobel Foundation’s sphere of interest.

The non-profit association has an overall function as the umbrella organisation for th following four units: the wholly owned limited liability companies Nobel Media AB andNobelmuseetABinStockholmas well as Nobels Fredspriskonsert AS and the Nobel Peace Center Foundation inOslo. The foremost task of these organisations is to disseminate information and knowledge about the Nobel Prize.
