Nobina continues to expand in the Helsinki region with a new contract
Nobina has been awarded a new contract by HSL to operate and develop urban transport in the Helsinki region. Nobina already runs parts of the traffic, and this new agreement marks a further investment in sustainability with close to 40 new electric buses.
The contract, running for seven years with an option to extend for an additional three years, includes over 50 scheduled vehicles and will begin in August 2026. The agreement covers urban transport in the Helsinki region, with a particular focus on Espoo.
“We are very pleased that HSL continues to place its trust in Nobina, giving us the opportunity to further develop public transport in the Helsinki region. This new contract allows us to strengthen our offering of modern and sustainable transport solutions with a strong focus on passengers”, says Topi Simola, Managing Director of Nobina Finland.
The award decision can be appealed until March 25, 2025.
