Nobina to expand in Norrbotten under new contract

Under a new contract commencing in June 2022, Nobina has been awarded an expanded assignment by Länstrafiken i Norrbotten to operate and develop services on the main route between Boden and Luleå. The contract, which will be Nobina’s fourth in Region Norrbotten and third in collaboration with Länstrafiken i Norrbotten, is valued at approximately SEK 50 million over a contract period of two years. No additional optional years are included.

The new contract entails that Nobina will continue to expand its operations in Norrbotten, which currently comprise services in, for example, Piteå, Älvsbyn and the Luleå area. The contract comprises a total of 12 scheduled buses between Boden and Luleå, including the important service to Sunderby Hospital. All vehicles will be operated in 100-percent fossil-free fuel.

The award decision can be appealed until 15 October 2021.
