Nobina Danmark A/S has won a tender for Movia. The traffic contract comprises around 112 buses and runs for a period of six years, with the option of additionally up to six years. The estimated total value is close to SEK 1.8 billion over the six year contract period. Through the new traffic contract Nobina will be responsible for traffic in Copenhagen and North Zealand starting on December 15 2014.

The contract award notice from Movia means that Nobina assumes continued responsibility for the S-lines which connect different parts of Copenhagen, as well as increased city and regional traffic in the North Zealand area.

- We are very pleased by Movia’s confidence in Nobina to continue and increase our operations in Copenhagen and North Zealand. The successful tender outcome will increase our contract portfolio in Denmark substantially, which is very satisfactory, says Ragnar Norbäck, President and CEO of the Nobina group.

Half the bus fleet in the new contracts will consist of used buses. In addition, Nobina will invest in 54 new buses. A smaller part of the contract contains incentive based compensation, depending on customer satisfaction and passenger growth.
