    MTR and Nobina sign agreement for bus-for-rail services

    MTR and Nobina have signed an agreement regarding bus-for-rail services for the Stockholm commuter train system. The agreement enters into force on 11 December 2016 and runs for a period of 10 years, with an option for an additional four years.     Nobina to take delivery of 179 new buses worth around SEK 450 million

    During the summer, Nobina will take delivery of 179 new buses; this is a consequence of the traffic contracts that are starting in 2016. The buses, worth approximately SEK 450 million, will enter into traffic after the summer. The percentage of Nobina’s bus fleet operating on renewable fuel will thereby increase from 50 to 55 per cent.All 179 buses are adapted for biodiesel and will be delivered by Scania, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Volvo and VDL.     Nobina has won a tender to operate regional traffic in Lund Väster. The new contract will start on 10 December 2017 and extend over four years.     Nobina to receive compensation for cost of repairing manipulated buses

    During December 2015, Nobina discovered that the exhaust gas purification systems had been manipulated in the 59 Malmö buses owned by Skånetrafiken which Nobina had taken over from the previous contract holder. The manipulation was carried out before Nobina assumed responsibility. The damaged catalytic converters were restored immediately following the discovery and Nobina will be reimbursed all costs incurred.Nobina began to suspect manipulation during the course of a scheduled service.     Nobina completes repayment of all outstanding bonds

    In accordance with a previous press release, and in line with Nobina’s dividend policy, Nobina AB (publ) completed the repayment of Nobina Europe AB’s (publ) outstanding bonds (ISIN SE0005797578) on August 11.On June 3, Nobina announced its intentions to, following the completion of its initial public offering, repay the outstanding bonds in full by exercising Nobina Europe’s early redemption option.
