Confidence on any road, in any weather– the new Nokian Hakka Truck Trailer tire offers higher mileage, safety and economy for the most demanding transports

Nokian Heavy Tyres, Nokia, Finland, August 10, 2021 – With heavy loads on changing road conditions, the tires on every axle position matter. The high trailer weight affects the handling of the entire vehicle, making the grip, stability and reliability of the trailer tires a critical demand. When transporting dangerous goods (ADR), liquids or bulk, premium trailer tires give confidence to the handling of the entire truck. The Nokian Hakka Truck Trailer is a premium all-weather trailer tire for the most demanding transports. It offers higher mileage, excellent grip and low rolling resistance for confident, comfortable and economical driving.

The entire Nokian Hakka Truck tire range has been optimized to offer excellent grip around the year while wearing slowly and evenly. With the introduction of the new Nokian Hakka Truck Trailer tire, these premium-tire features are now available for every axle position.

“We call it the ‘magic triangle’ – the combination of good grip, low rolling resistance and high mileage, where improving one feature often compromises another”, says Teppo Siltanen, Product Manager at Nokian Tyres. “With the new Nokian Hakka Truck Trailer tire, we have managed to reach a sweet spot where all three parameters are top notch without any compromises.”

For demanding transports

The importance of a good trailer tire becomes most obvious when transporting dangerous goods (ADR), liquids or bulk. The high trailer weight affects the handling of the entire vehicle, making the grip, stability and reliability of the trailer tires a critical demand.

“Surprisingly, transporting milk from the farms sets high demands for tires, as the tank is heavy and the last kilometers can be driven on pretty rough roads that change with the season from muddy to snowy”, Siltanen says. “The same goes with wood chip transports.”

Another factor to pay attention to is the local legislation. “The demands for good energy efficiency and low noise level are getting stricter worldwide”, says Teppo Siltanen. “Also, many Nordic countries are starting to demand 3PMSF marking on every tire of the vehicle during winter months.”

Nokian Hakka Truck Trailer tire is compliant with the strictest regulations with its fuel-saving rolling resistance, low noise and 3PMSF marking.

Safety and economy

Besides safety, the new Nokian Hakka Truck Trailer tire has been designed with economical kilometers in mind.

“Its mileage really stands out”, says Teppo Siltanen. “The long, care-free service life means easier tire management with lower total cost of ownership in the long run.”

Another way to save money and the environment is to use retreaded tires. That is why Nokian Tyres has released the compatible Nokian Noktop Hakka Trailer retread together with the tire.

“The Nokian Hakka Truck Trailer tire with its sturdy chassis suits well for retreading”, Teppo Siltanen says. “The compatible Nokian Noktop Hakka Trailer retread makes sure the tire performs equally well in the second round!”
