Nokian Tyres appoints Mr. Mark Earl to lead the Americas Business Area as of May 1, 2018 

Mark Earl, B.Sc., has been appointed to the Nokian Tyres management team as Vice President, Americas Business Area, starting May 1, 2018. He will report to the President & CEO Ms. Hille Korhonen.

Mr. Earl’s main responsibility is to implement Nokian Tyres’ North American growth strategy through the Dayton, TN factory project, grow the distribution, and further build and strengthen the Company’s North American organization.

His experience will be a major asset to us, as we are aiming at doubling our sales within 5 years in North America, says Hille Korhonen, President & CEO of Nokian Tyres. 

Mark Earl is currently working as President, Hennessy Industries, a Fortive Corporation company, and he also has extensive working experience at Danaher.

Mr. Tommi Heinonen, the current VP of Americas Business Area, will continue to lead the sales in Americas Business Area and report to Mr. Earl.

Nokian Tyres has also appointed Ms. Päivi Antola, MA, CEFA, to the Nokian Tyres management team as Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications starting in June 2018 at the latest. Antola is joining Nokian Tyres after eight years at Amer Sports Corporation as Head of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations. Antola has extensive experience in IR and corporate communications roles in various companies. Antola will report to the President & CEO.
