Excellent: NOMOS Glashütte receives renowned iF Design Award
The Glashütte-based watch manufacturer has received an award for outstanding product design for what is arguably the most innovative version of the classic Tangente watch to date. The award-winning model Tangente 2date stands out with its unique double date display.
For the twelfth time, NOMOS Glashütte has received the internationally renowned iF Design Award. Tangente 2date, the now award-winning watch, impressed the jury of 131 experts with its combination of traditional watchmaking and innovative technical features, which are reflected in the design in an elegant and functional way.
With its unique double-date display, Tangente 2date is the latest version of the design icon that has been the face of the Glashütte watch manufacturer for more than 30 years. In an ingenious, patented mechanical design, the date ring is placed around the outside of the movement, allowing for both a classic date window and the typical NOMOS ring date.
The timepiece, measuring 37.5 millimeters, is powered by the new proprietary hand-wound caliber DUW 4601. It features an elaborate sunbeam ribbing that emanates from the heart of the watch—the NOMOS swing system—and a newly designed, skeletonized balance cock. With a power reserve of 52 hours and a quick-change date adjustment, Tangente 2date sets new standards in functionality.
Tangente 2date combines the clean style of Bauhaus-inspired design with the highest quality for which NOMOS Glashütte is known worldwide.
The award-winning Tangente 2date model is available at selected retailers and online in the NOMOS Store.
