Made for double takes: 2date
With a double date display on the front and a sun salutation on the back, the new NOMOS date watch with its newly designed hand-wound movement guarantees a change of perspective.
GLASHÜTTE, OCTober 2024. The dual date display of Tangente 2date has been attracting a great deal of media attention since its presentation at the 5th Forum NOMOS Glashütte. And not without reason. With the new Tangente 2date model, NOMOS is combining the traditional art of watchmaking with innovative engineering. Two date displays are combined on a single dial in a way that only NOMOS Glashütte can do. The date ring is placed around the outside of the movement, allowing for a classic date window at 6 o’clock, in addition to the unique and patented ring date.
This unusual display is a sign of what is hidden inside: DUW 4601, a newly developed hand-wound caliber from NOMOS Glashütte. The fine sunbeam polishing that emanates from the NOMOS swing system—the heart of every NOMOS watch—celebrates the twelfth NOMOS caliber in a magnificent way. The newly designed, skeletonized balance cock is another beautiful addition, while the 52-hour power reserve and quick-change date adjustment are true innovations in functionality.
Tangente 2date will soon be available with a white silver-plated dial or a blue dial with sunburst finish. Are you curious and want to share your opinion about the new NOMOS watch? Please contact us!

A mechanical watch as elegant as it is innovative, celebrating sychronicity. With a diameter of 37.5 millimeters and a white silver-plated dial, it features not one, but two innovative date displays. |
|
This watch shows what NOMOS Glashütte loves to do best. Why have only a single display when you can show the day in two exclusive ways: with a patented ring date and a large date window at 6 o'clock?

DUW 4601 has been completely redesigned. It contains the patented NOMOS date mechanism, in which the date ring is placed around the movement, keeping it elegantly thin and allowing for two separate displays. It also features a quick-change date function. DUW 4601 also has a power reserve of 52 hours. |
The date ring, positioned around the edge of the dial, offers a view of the entire month at a glance, while the extra-large date window at 6 o’clock uses the iconic Tangente typography. The sapphire crystal glass back with anti-reflective coating provides a clear view of the newly designed DUW 4601 mechanical movement at work inside. |
