Sky and sand

Summertime, always: Wristwatches with the feeling of freedom, in the form of blue skies or endless beaches, are now available from NOMOS Glashütte. The two latest Ahoi versions in sky and sand have a new size, new colors, and a neomatik caliber.

GLASHÜTTE, JULY 27, 2023. As blue as the wide-open sky or with the shimmer of golden sands: the two new releases from NOMOS Glashütte, Ahoi neomatik 38 date sky and Ahoi neomatik 38 date sand, are watches that encapsulate summer. Highly precise and made in Glashütte, Germany, they are the perfect companion on the wrist also after vacations, all-year round.

An angular crown guard secures the screw-down crown and its winding mechanism from impacts. The case back is made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and is screwed down to make it waterproof. Although robust and water resistant to 200 meters, equipped with and automatic caliber, date mechanism, and glass back, Ahoi sky and sand remain elegantly proportioned. At just 9.9 millimeters in height, these watches sit perfectly on the wrist—and under any cuff. What’s more: their classic diameter of 38.5 millimeters provides perfect proportions for (almost) any wrist.

Both new watches offer exceptional legibility, as their sapphire crystal has an anti-reflective coating on both sides. Large numerals and clear color contrasts make both the sand-colored and the sky-blue sports versions of Ahoi easy to read. The date window at three o'clock clearly shows when the next vacation can start. And thanks to luminescent superluminova, the time is just as legible in low-light conditions.

Ahoi from NOMOS Glashütte was first launched in 2013, initially in white and Atlantic blue. With the classic diameter of 38.5 millimeters, in these colors, and with new date caliber DUW 6101, these NOMOS watches are now completely new.
