Sandvika, 4 June (OSE: NORCO): Norconsult Sverige AB, a subsidiary of Norconsult ASA, has acquired the Swedish infrastructure consulting company Wermlands Infrakonsult AB (WIKON).

WIKON specialises in water and sewage, land, traffic, roads and streets with both public and private customers. The company was established in 2011 and offers services in investigation, design, project and construction management as well as inspection. Over the years, WIKON has carried out many different types of assignments in both turnkey contracts and partnering, for municipalities as well as Trafikverket (the Swedish Transport Administration) and construction companies.

WIKON has 11 employees and recorded revenues of NOK 19 million in the fiscal year ending April 2024.

"Norconsult's ambition is to offer our clients interdisciplinary expertise through local presence. We already have a position in Värmland, and with the acquisition of WIKON we strengthen our infrastructure services in this part of the Swedish market," says Farah Al-Aieshy, EVP Sweden at Norconsult.

The acquisition is expected to close in the third quarter of 2024.
