Norconsult awarded design contract for Jotun in Sandefjord

Norconsult has signed a contract to design a new binder production facility for Jotun in Gimle, Sandefjord. The task involves the general upgrade and co-location of the production plant.

The initial phase of the design of the new binder production for Jotun in Gimle, Sandefjord, is expected to be completed by the summer of 2024. The project is multidisciplinary, with Norconsult working on preliminary design and some detailed design in the initial phase.

Leading in process industry

Jotun is a global industrial group established in Sandefjord in 1926, and today, the group operates in more than 100 countries.

Norconsult has previously been involved in several projects for Jotun, including the design of the new headquarters and research center located right next to the binder factory.

If the project continues after the summer of 2024, Norconsult has an option for detailed design and construction management in the assignment.
