Conclusion of partial sale of Kristiansands Tankrederi A/S' shareholding in
NORDEN 

Dampskibsselskabet NORDEN A/S (”NORDEN”) has by Kristiansands Tankrederi A/S
(”Kristiansand”) been informed that Kristiansand has sold part of its
shareholding in NORDEN via the Accelerated Book-built Offering (”ABO”), which
was mentioned in company announcement no. 7 of 10 March 2009 at a price of DKK
150 per share. 

Kristiansand has sold 4,723,060 shares and now owns 4,869,640 shares
corresponding to approximately 10.9% of the total nominal share capital in
NORDEN. 

Kristiansand has agreed with the arranging bank, that Kristiansand will not
sell further shares in NORDEN without the arranging bank's consent during the
period from the date of completion of the ABO to NORDEN's announcement of its
interim report for the first half 2009 (expected to be published on 19 August
2009). 

NORDEN has acquired 380,000 treasury shares in the ABO and now holds a total of
2,592,606 treasury shares corresponding to approximately 5.81% of the total
nominal share capital in NORDEN. The acquisition of treasury shares was made in
accordance with the authorization given to the Board of Directors in NORDEN at
the ordinary general meeting on 23 April 2008.
